Storyboarding Formative



Here are the storyboards that I drew for a story about a robot in a destroyed city. The Story was pretty average but its the best idea I had in the weekend haha. The task was to show the character(any character) enter a scene, stop and react to an object in view, have the character pick up that object and throw it off screen. Into the 2nd year of the degree course here at Media Design School. This week we have been doing pre production so been doing environment and character designs heres some of my work from this week.

Here is what I handed in for the final due in time for our Art summative. We needed to hand in two pieces of art we have completed over the last 8 weeks. Pretty happy with this though could use some more touch up work..

White Cloud Worlds Digital Illustration Workshop

Hey havent posted here in a few weeks. This weekend MDS hosted the White Cloud Worlds digital illustration masterclass workshop it was so awesome learnt heaps. The workshop is run by Paul Tobin and Ben Wootten. Here is my environment that I was working on over the past two days. I used the description of what the Brute homeworld would look like from the Halo Encyclopedia havent seen any images of the brute homeworld so this is my own creation of what the world could look like...

MDS Digital painting

 mds is going really well just did a week of digital painting and this is what I handed in at the end of the week. wouldnt call it matte painting or finished but its still pretty awesome. Hopefully will be able to bring my sculpt home and Ill take some pics and upload them

Halo Warthog update and MDS Orientation

Working on the inside parts suspension etc, using the forza 4 warthog model as reference for this seeming the game model is pretty basic for the suspension and how the wheels are attached. On friday had a pretty cool orientation at MDS met some new people and drinks at the Bluestone Room was crack up as!!

Halo Warthog

Listening to Halo Anniversary soundtrack that I bought off iTunes and I felt like modelling something from halo. Decided on the Warthog, using reference from Wetas warthog as well as the game itself. Here is the blocking out of it so far...

Bioshock(Art Deco) Door

Here is a quick set driven key rig I made tonight while studying for my learners. Yeah I am a bit late getting my license sorted... test is tomorrow. I used Bioshock has a reference for the door itself art deco style. May end up expanding this into a hall way texture and light it when I have the time to. The Driver is the wheel rotating on the Z axis which is driving the door to translate down on the Y axis.

Apocalypse Survivors hide out




The Carriage that I posted previously, I decided to destroy it and make it into an apocalypse survivors camp. Meant to be a monorail beside a road still need to finish the car and add more detail inside the carriage for survivors hide out.

Here is something that just came to my head randomly. It is a futuristic train carriage, either making it a monorail type train or make some hover boosters for it. Still needs detailing... Critique welcomed,  Cheers!

GOT INTO MDS!!

Hey people, so I just found out that got accepted into the 2nd year course of Media Design Schools Bachelor of Art and Design(3D animation and visual effects). I have to do a few papers from the first year to get a total of 140 credits and then  I can move into 2nd year. So excited!!! Starting in Feb!
